"They reset my profile and so far will not help me get it back."
Just today when I went in to my account, I found that all my progress had been reset and all my code erased. I emailed sololearn for help with getting my profile back but no answer. Guess they just take your money and any problems you experience with their platform are your problem. SL: “there’s a problem?” Customer: yes; SL: “Sucks for you!” Nice, Sololearn. Really nice to screw your subscribers. Way to be professional, SoloLearn!!!!

"Great site"
Website provides clear and detailed lessons on several programming languages. Tasks care challenging and require critical thinking. Should increase XP for lessons though, honestly I think 5 is little. Also should provide guidelines on IDEs and compiler software. Overall great site

"I don't know why it's so underrated"
I don't know why it's so underrated. It's the gem for a beginner and my favorite site and application for learning basics of some coding stuff in the form of addictive step-by-step tutorials. Of course you need to do some real practice and can't become a guru only after completing some lessons at SoloLearn, but it's a good start, and it has a great community. The major complaint I've seen and can agree is that some of slightly advanced lessons in programming are not perfectly clear and could be rewritten, but that's a minor thing. Most part of beginner content is close to perfect. I've been using a Premium version for a long time and it helped me to dive into many technology stacks more easily than it would be if I used only books or youtube tutorials.

"Not worth it."
What's there is good - the content is nicely laid out, and it does guide you through the process.

That's the good. Unfortunately unless you're willing to pay, you'll never see most of it.

I get that it's a business, and they really want you to use the Pro option; that's fine in itself. What's not fine is that they show multiple options to continue outside of waiting for your "hearts" to refill - you have 3, and any mistake you make reduces it by one. Once you're at zero you either wait 4+ hours for it to add 1 more heart. But it'll happily give you three options once you're at zero:

* Upgrade to Pro. They slap this on most pages and really encourage it.
* Use the "bits" that you collect - for some quizzes - to buy an extra heart. Except it DOESN'T WORK. You can click that button until you die - you're not getting anything from it. They also lie when they say you can earn bits from doing code tests - it shows that you earn 10 bits from it, and you certainly don't anymore. I have over 500 of these things and can't use them for anything.
* "Test out" so you do 10 questions and then they'll give you an extra heart. Except you'll do the quiz, and get ... NOTHING. Again. This option vanishes once you get no extra heart and you've done the quiz, leading you to wonder why it's there as an option.

So the only option is to pay them, and all of the other options they list are outright untrue.

I was hoping to use them more, but I refuse to be nickel-and-dimed like this.

(Also - just to troubleshoot I've used the site on Windows, Mac and Android using Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge. It does the same on all browsers and OSes, so this isn't a bug.)

"Used to be a great platform"
Used to be a great platform. Since last few updates which completely destroyed community it's just a dead "we don't care about community's feedback" platform.

No more xps for storm, only 5 xp for each coding task (used to be up to 100), you're being forced to learn how they tell you, not how you want to and also you're being limited by some stupid hearts.

The easiest way would be to revert last updates and just acknowledge that it was a very bad idea.. if they'd rather asked the community first.. it's like someone else released this update, someone who does not care about the community, just money (short term)

"Do not buy anything from them!"
Iv'e seen a 7 days trial so I gave it a shot. After 1 day I've cancelled it and they still charged me for 70, and they don't want to give me my money back!

It's a scam!

"The site and mobile apps are very good…"
The site and mobile apps are very good and easy to use. You read the illustrated theory and after every lesson you do practical tasks and tests. The only thing I would like to have improved it's that there
are often very few comments in the code examples that would explain how the code works and the examples are often not the most understandable (for example, the names of variables, functions, methods are incomprehensible and / or too simple and it confuses most of the students, judging by the comments to the lessons).

"Pro exercices are mediocre"
While the website/app are well built, the exercises are terrible, you'll get stuck because they are completely out of context and the lesson you've just studied doesn't apply or is not explained to comlete the assignments.

"Great website and app to help yourself…"
Great website and app to help yourself learn to code or to brush up on some languages you haven’t used in a while. I’m currently revisiting the JavaScript sections on this app, and I have really enjoyed using it. The little tests at the end of sections can really help make sure you truly understand what you’ve just learned

"Best way to learn to code."
Excellent lessons. Easy to understand with lots of examples, and a question after each new concept to really cement that knowledge.

Recently the website got a very nice facelift. Just in time for me and my mates digging into SQL.
